Let us greet you respectfully from Kutaisi State University and inform you that on 2-5 November, 2006 at KSU will be held an International Scientific Conference on American Studies entitled (American Literature and Georgian-American Relations).

The conference and participant costs (except travel costs) are funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

The conference will consist of panel presentations and discussions. The working languages will be Georgian and English. We intend to publish conference proceedings as a journal. Written papers must not exceed 8 standard pages (A4). The text should be typed in Word, Times New Roman fonts, size 12, with one page resume. Time for speakers during panel sessions will be limited to 15 minutes. Conference participants should send the titles of their papers and the completed registration form by June 1, 2006 to the following e-mail: irpdd@gol.ge or by Fax: +995 331 43833.

The visiting participants should have the papers (typed and on diskette) on their arrival.
We warmly welcome all interested faculty members from your university to participate in this American Studies conference in the beautiful capital city of Imereti, western Georgia.
